Overview of the Role

As an Agile Transformation and Change lead you are passionate about leading, coaching and enabling change through agile based enablement and process development. You lead by example and enjoy the challenge and reward of pulling from you and your team’s collective toolset to improve how your customers and partners do work.

You are someone equally comfortable diving in head first and being hands on as well taking a step back and teaching by way of coaching. You equally enjoy time spent developing a new process and with people, building relationships, leading teams, and putting your recommendations to work. You aren’t afraid of a challenge and can find the right balance of persuasion and empathy. You know change is hard but worth it, and definitely not a one-size fits all game.

You’ll work with customers and partners in teams of fellow Qarikters helping your customer through their transformation journey. You will employ what you know and the talents of your team. You’ll have the opportunity to be creative and trust in your expert knowledge and experience.

Your role will incorporate change management as well as agile transformation. You’ll lead the people and process portion of a digital transformation and cloud modernization effort. 

You will create and deliver strategies and processes, drive implementation plans, and prepare customer teams for operating their new processes after you leave. Your goal is to empower, coach, and enable. This role will complement the technical agile processes of your project team and prepare the customer for scaling change management through the organization. You’ll consult on change related activities including new ways to communicate, learn, and do work. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve for the business use of agile, incorporate agile methods (Scrum, Kanban…), best practices, and training as we transform the way we work
  • Provide agile coaching to customer team members, change agents, business partners, and stakeholders as they help their teams through transitions
  • Be an internal Qarik practice SME and active participant to building the Qarik offerings in your field
  • Drive effective agile practices from program initiation through to delivery including executive level release planning, product management backlog creation and requirements brainstorming, and weekly/ daily scrum ceremonies
  • Research and understand a Customer’s specific enterprise processes and creatively recommend improvements considering the biggest impact for the relevant scope 
  • Prepare and lead cross functional teams through adoption of the business transformation and prepare them for owning the system you help create
  • Use a data driven approach to establish metrics for your programs based on relevant and strategic objectives and results. You’ll lead the execution of programs against those measures to show program benefits.
  • Assess change impacts and organizational readiness while ensuring roles, responsibilities, and decision making are clarified in the agile system
  • Work with leaders to develop and execute change management approaches that enable business agility, iterative delivery, and continuous learning
  • Lead and implement change efforts from initiating the case for change through adoption and reinforcement, supporting business partners to take ownership of new changes
  • Seek new and innovative ways we can go to market with transformation and change programs

Ideal Attributes

  • Customer facing consulting experience for both large and small organizations
  • Experience with agile delivery methods and developing efficient business processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, written, and interpersonal skills are needed to influence customers (internal and external)
  • Excellent people-management skills related to the impact of change with the ability to understand how people react to major change and able to handle it appropriately
  • Able to envision the big picture, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate thought leadership into solution development
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent complex projects and leading enterprise-wide project implementations; able to prioritize and consider multiple stakeholders considerations to do so
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization from executive, middle-management to front-line team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making with the ability to communicate and build effective working relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Displays operational excellence by working effectively and reliably while demonstrating value with measurable results
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work in ambiguous situations and provide structure to drive outcomes and course correct when needed
  • Able to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams
  • Solution-oriented with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and shares knowledge while building capabilities
  • Open to travel to work with internal and external teams (within CDC safety precautions)
  • Experienced with identifying training and upskilling needs, developing training roadmaps
  • Experienced with enterprise software rollouts and the people and communication tracks required for success along with them such as communication of change, role mapping and ramp, skill preparation, process reference creation, and support team ramp, etc… 
  • Holds 1 or more Agile certifications

Other Relevant Details

  • Desired Locations: New York or Chicago but open to any location as long as you have a great internet connection and are willing to overlap US west coast morning hours.
  • Sadly the latency from Mars is too great, so we have a preference for people on Earth.
